Versions of The Southwester were first made available online in text-only format. This version has text with no structured formatting and/or images.
As the website developed in features, The Southwester was available online in HTML format (webpage version) but still no images.
PDF (Portable Document Format) allows documents to be converted into a readable document retaining its format and images that's viewed by virtually all browsers. Beginning with 2003, all issues are PDF. The earliest issues have also been retroactively formatted ito PDFs.
