SOUTHWEST LIBRARY PROGRAMS

  1. Southwest Library Mystery Book Club.
    Every 3rd Monday at 7:00-8:00pm. Call the branch to find out book selection for June 17, 1999. Book club will not meet during July and August.
  2. Child Care Group II. Orientation for child care careers.
    Every Thursday from 1:00-5:00pm. June 3, 10, 17, 24, 1999. Call (202) 488-5300 for more information.
  3. Young Adult Cross Stitch Club (Ages 11 -16) .
    Learn how to do Cross Stitch at the Southwest Branch every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm. Call the Branch at 727-1381 for more information and to register. June 9, 23, 1999.
  4. After School Movies. Every Thursday from 4:00 - 5:00pm
    Come and enjoy new movies every week.
  5. School Age Program. June 1-17, 1999 for children ages 6-12.
    Library orientation, stories, songs and story-telling.
  6. Pre School Films and Songs. June 1-30, 1999
    Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 -11:30 am. Visit the Southwest Library to enjoy a program for the very young child.
  7. Toddlers Time.
    Visit the Southwest Library every Monday during the month of June, from 10:30-11:30am, for a story hour including fingerplays, film and flannel board and picture book stories. Please call the branch at 727-1381 for an appointment.
  8. The 'Summer Quest' reading program will begin on June 1, 1999.

Gary D. Long, son of Davelene Renshaw, and Ms. Rebecca Kacprowicz, will be married on the island of St. Lucia (near Grenada), on May 17, 1999. Following a short vacation, a reception will be held in Kansas City, MO for family and friends.Top of Page
