Townhouse Management One, Inc.Townhouse Management One, Inc., a non-profit organization, is a homeowners association in Town Square Subdivision.

It consists of 27 three and four story townhouses along I, 6th and H Streets, SW and the common area and parking lot off I Street of 28 spaces located southeast of Town Square Towers.

Each house and its enclosed patio to the rear is owned fee simple but to meet City land/living area square footage requirements, each homeowner also owns "an equal and undivided share of the common green and parking lot and is a member of the association. Residents can join the Town Square swimming pool maintained by Town Square Towers.

The houses were built by Bresler and Reiner in 1965 along with the rest of the houses of Town Square Subdivision, the five low rise apartment buildings and Town Square Towers. This area was part of the Urban Renewal Project and was under the redevelopment Land Agency for thirty years.

The homeowners association has authority only over the common green and parking lot and assesses annual fees for maintenance of these areas. There are 19 houses without garages. Parking spaces 1- 19 are assigned to each of these houses with an annual fee for use thereof. The extra space is auctioned to the highest bidder at the annual meeting for the next calendar year. Any capital improvements must be approved by two-thirds of the members. An Executive Committee of elected members serves without pay. It provides all management between annual meetings.

There is Metro Bus service along I Street, SW and Metro Rail service at Waterfront and L'Enfant Stations, both within easy walking distance. Houses are served by one or two cable/TV companies.
