A full service marina with a full time mechanic on duty for repairs providing wash and wax services as well as bottom paint services. All 50 of slips are deep water (6'MLW) in addition to having
dry storage both inside and out. Can accommodate up to 100 boats inside and 40 outside on the racks. Fork lift services are available to all dry storage boats between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Mon- Sat. and on Sundays open until 4 pm. Transient slips are available to travelers on an as needed basis.

The James Creek Marina was first constructed in 1913 as the Corinthian Yacht Club. It was transferred to the National Park Service under the name Ft. McNair Yacht Basin in 1964.
In September 1988, the name of the marina was changed to the James Creek Marina after the body of water that ran in this area.
In 1990, the marina was completely renovated. All the existing pilings, docks and structures we removed or demolished. The marina was dredged, a sea wall
was built along the existing shoreline, and new Meeco floating docks were installed. In 2008, Guest Services, Inc. assumed management responsibilities for the marina.

In 1938, by Presidential Order, President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared that the nation's capital needed a "first class" marina to meet the needs of recreational boaters and
"Yacht Basin One" was established as the result of this presidential order.
In 1951, the District of Columbia government contacted Mr. C.M. Stickell, owner of Stickell Marine in Baltimore, and asked him to take over operation of "Yacht Basin One." Mr. Stickell agreed and on September 1, 1951, The Washington Marina Company began operations.
The Washington Marina Co. maintains one of the largest inventories of marine engine parts and accessories in the country as well as offering transient slips (no liveaboards, no wood boats), boats, trailers, motors, inflatables, and generators. |

The Capitol Yacht Club was formed on October 19, 1892 by nine yachtsman who met on the naptha powered launch ALERT in order to hire a watchman to keep an eye on their vessels anchored in the newly
formed Washington Channel. From its inception, the Capitol Yacht Club was heavily involved with racing. Several regattas were held each year and the Capitol Yacht Club was a charter member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht
Racing Association (CBYRA) that began informally in 1906 and incorporated in 1910. |

The District Yacht Club (DYC) is a membership boat club of boating enthusiast who enjoy boating, fellowship and family. Amenities include a clubhouse, marine railway and shop facility. The Club presently has 45 slips. The Members of DYC enjoy land
and water-based social events throughout the year. The club takes pride in working closely with the U.S. Park Service, the District Government, and environmental organizations in their goal to revitalize the Anacostia River.
The mission of the club is to maintain a non-sectarian, non-political, and non-profit association for the members; and promote fraternalism, friendship and social interaction among the boating fraternity and club members; and to provide a boating facility for our members and to encourage safe boating practices on the waterways.

DC Dragon Boat Club

Founded in March 2008, The DC Dragon Boat Club, Inc. promotes individual and community participation in the sport of Dragon Boating to encourage awareness and stewardship of the area's waterways through recreational and competitive programs that foster physical fitness, camaraderie, and leadership skills.
People have been racing dragon boats for over 2,000 years. The sport has 3 basic components: a boat, a steersperson, and a crew.
The crew sits side-by-side, and can have up to 22 per boat. Races are held around both the region and world, and at different levels of competition. Dragon Boating is a fun, healthy, refreshing sport in open water and open air that imparts many physical and social benefits. It is one of the best sports for the core, legs, and back muscles, shoulders, arms and thighs.

The Sequoia Presidential Yacht is a fully restored, 104-foot, 1925 Trumpy-designed yacht that has served more than nine Presidents. It is thus not a surprise
that Congress designated the Sequoia a National Historic Landmark. This is perhaps the most important piece of Americana in private hands, and it may be the most famous vessel in America. The Sequoia is available, for a limited time, for exclusive charters in the Washington, D.C. area.
