The Technology Task Force's mission is to use technology to improve the quality of life of residents of Southwest and Capitol Riverfront.

The www.swdc.org web site undergoing a makeover which includes the addition of a calendar and enahnced site navigation tools. The site includes issues of The Southwester dating back to its establishment.

We continue to collect, refurbish and distribute computers to needy families. Microsoft donated $25,930 in Microsoft Windows and Office software during the year for our program. We also provided several laptops to needy college neighborhood students as part of SWNA's Scholarship Program.

Thanks to the pro bono services of the D.C. law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP, we were recently able to scan past issues of The Southwester so that we now have over 30 years on DVD as searchable files. Individuals can now search on a name or topic and rapidly locate where it was referenced in The Southwester.
