Who We Are

All residents of Near Southwest and (ZIP Code 20024) age 18 and over are considered members of the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly and are eligible to vote and run for office in its elections. Southwest Neighborhood Assembly elections are held in March of odd numbered years. The Southwest Neighborhood Assembly is non-partisan and there are no dues required for membership.

Note: The Southwest Neighborhood Assembly is in the process of welcoming the expanding community of south Washington, north of the Anacostia River. Our mission and electoral district boundaries do not yet reflect this.
